Mr. Miles split $4560 among his three sons from the eldest to the youngest in the ratio of 3:2:1. How much more money did the eldest son receive than the youngest son.

eldest got 1/2 of 4560 = $2280

youngest got 1/6 of 4560 = $760

$2280-$760 = $1520 more for the eldest

the middle aged received 1/3 of 4560 = $1520

2280+1520+760 = 4560

1/2 + 1/3 + 1/6 = 1
