There are 3 candies, 8 coins, 1 pen, and 4 pieces of paper in a bag. An item is selected at random from the bag. After replacing it, a second item is chosen. Find the probability for the following:

total items in the bag are 16 .so P( coin) = 8/16. P( candy) = 3/16 . P(pen) = 1/16. P(paper) = 4/16.

P(coin and pen) = P(coin) x P(pen) = 8/16 x 1/16 = 8/256 = 1/32.

P(candy and piece of paper) = P(candy) x P(piece of paper) = 3/16 x 4/16 = 12/256 = 3/ 64.
