How many hours should you study for the Series 63 ?

Most people spend at least 40 hours studying for the 63. The best practice is to spread out those hours over at least 10 days. Companies usually give about 2 months to study and take the exam. Most companies also allow a retake with the 30 day break between tests. Fidelity Investments uses Pass Perfect which some students find very challenging.

You want to give yourself time to read the book from cover to cover at least once, and then reread the chapters with the most questions propionate to the exam. Pay special emphasis on the difference between State and Federal regulations. Take as many practice exams as possible and understand why you got something wrong if not correct.
