For a diploid number of 24 (i.e. 2n = 24).
End of Meiosis I: A daughter cell has 12 chromosomes, 24 chromatids.
End of Meiosis II. A daughter cell has 12 chromosomes, 12 chromatids.
Important to understand that Meiosis I is the reductive division, meaning Meiosis I results in the diploid to haploid transition.
