I’ve gotten that far before, but I’m confused. There are two variables, so I can’t treat this like a quadratic equation, can I?

Or do I treat w like x? Because if so, x = 6 (and technically -26), and I’m annoyed that I didn’t figure this out before because I’ve gotten this far like 4 times. I don’t know what happened! If this is it, then thank you for confirming my method :)
