probably age has the least variability
most students in middle school are within 1 year of each others' age, maybe age 13 to 15 range, or lesser range, 13.5 to 14.5 years old? difference from the mean could be as little as 1/2 year or 6 months. 1/2 to 14 is a small ratio
growth spurts and differences in height. shorter parents have shorter children. 4 to 5 feet range? 1/2 foot might be the average distance from the mean 1/2 to 4.5 is a larger ratio
siblings could be 0 to 5 or more. 2.3 children is sometimes given as the average or mean number of US family children. Mean number of siblings = 2.3-1 = 1.3. variability might be an average 1 or 2 from the mean. 1.5/1.3 is the largest ratio
There's a physicist professor who once said if you don't know, make a WAG, which translates to just "guestimate" make a best guess at a reasonable estimate, and use that to make the calculations.
least to greatest variability might be age, height, siblings
