 Identify and describe three mechanisms of movement of lymph through the lymphatic vessels

1. Valves throughout the lymphatic system only allow lymph to flow in one direction, so it can never flow backwards.
2. There is smooth muscle attached to the lymphatic vessels that contracts.
3. Skeletal muscles create pressure in the body when they move.
