Why do cells which lack cell cycle control exhibit karyotypes which look physically different than cells with a normal cell cycle?

Since they lack proper check points to ensure that sister chromatid segregation is occurring in a proper manner, cells without cell cycle regulation have karyotypes that appear physically different from cells with normal cell cycles.
