So we are given the pressure, volume, temperature, R is a constant .0821, and now we need to figure out the mass of the chlorine gas. Luckily for us, knowing that it is chlorine gas, we know the molar mass of Cl2 is 70.906g.
The equation now becomes:
3.5*10=(x / 70.906) * .0821 * 300(make sure temp is in Kelvin!!!)
x = 3.5*10*70.906/.0821/300
x = 101 grams (3 sig figs)
