Gravitational Potential energy at 5.00 m from ground

GPE = mgh = 10*9.8 *5 = 490J

Kinetic energy at the time hitting ground = 1/2 (mv² ) =1/2 ( 10*9.0*9.0 )= 405 J

Difference og GPE and KE = 490J - 405 J = 85 J

This is energy dissipated due to air resistance
