If you hike 3 and 3/4 then you have hiked 3.75 hours.  If you are traveling at 3.8 miles an hour, you need to find out many miles you have hiked.  To do this multiply 3.75 by 3.8.  If the solutions is 10 or greater then you have reached your goal, if the solution is lesson than 10 miles, you have not reached your goal.
