I’m a student who excels in classes and wants to help others
Martha Washington was a very important lady in the times of the revolutionary war. She was located at mount Vernon for most of the war. Here she not only raised money for the soldiers but also helped knit and sew them clothes in blankets. As Washington became president, Martha saw fit to free Washington’s slaves as she seen the struggle America had fought against Great Britain for freedom.
Other facts that played a role in the way Martha lived was her unfortunate luck. She had four kids who she outlived. Seeing the struggles of the war she seemed to develop and come to be known as a caring woman who cared for others more than her self.
