The new complementary strand after replication would be:
TAA GCC TAT AAC GTG CAT GAT GCT AAC
How did we get there? I find it helpful to first split up the strand into sets of 3 nucleotides (also called bases) because it’s easier to look at. Then you match each letter representing a nucleotide with its complement as follows:
A with T,
T with A,
C with G, and
G with C.
