1. Tall is dominant, T, to short, t. Light skin is dominant, L, to dark skin, l. A homozygous for tall and dark skin male conceives with a short and heterozygous for light skin female. Calculate the genotypic and phenotypic ratios of the offspring

For this, all you have to do is set up 2 Punnett Squares, one for height (tall/short) and one for skin color (light/dark).

Tall/short:

Father=Homozygous tall (TT)

Mother=recessive short (tt)

Thus, all offspring will be heterozygous tall (Tt)

Skin color:

Father=recessive dark skin (ll)

Mother=Heterozygous light skin (Ll)

Half will be heterozygous light skin (Ll) and half will be recessive dark skin (ll).
