If the question is asking "what can be done to prevent extinction," then there are many different approaches scientists and governmental entities can do. Or, if the question is asking, "what is the solution to extinction after it has already taken place," then that answer will probably be the cloning of that species.
Ways to prevent:
- Reduce the carbon footprint. Climate change drastically alters and damages environments which contain endangered species.
- Create a cultural awareness, either from the government, or private organizations. Media engagement will play a role in this.
- Funding of animal sanctuaries and protection from poaching.
- Voting for candidates who will protect species
- The Giant Panda's recovery from extinction is a good example of how these methods can work.
