The mechanical advantage of a class 1 lever is given by the ratio of the distance of the applied force from the fulcrum (La) to the distance of the output force from the fulcrum (Lo).
a. La = 50 cm Lo = 50 cm MA = 1
b. La = 60 Lo = 40 MA = 1.5
Part 2 one example. If the fulcrum is at 10 cm, La = 10 Lo = 90 MA = 0.11
