How to decide what to pursue in your life

Question

So im 19 year old, from croatia and currently i don't know what to do with my life exactly, i finished High school last year, and i still haven't figured out what to do, how to move foward, i had some crisis, falls and ups and that affected my grades in school and i finished average, and i realized that to late, but i was always interested in writing as writing journals, novels, stories etc..

And photography. But i never got proper education on it never got chance to approach that right. And now im stuck. Can't deside what to do, how to approach that, from where to begin..

I completely understand where you are coming from. However, I never think it's too late to start to pursue what you want to do! My sister is turning 20 this year, and she is the same way. What I recommend is applying to a community college near you, where you can et your general education requirements out of the way. There you can decide on taking a Liberal Arts major, where you can learn to write! You can also explore photography classes as an elective and see if that is something that you can become truly passionate about. This will allow you to explore more, and get better prepared for what you want to do in the future. It is never too late. Heck, my friend and I are in our mid twenties now, and he just started to learn piano! Never give up on your dreams!

I agree with the answer above on enrolling into a community college. This will help you to decide whether college is for you or not. In the meantime, ask yourself what is it that you would get out of bed for everyday and do for FREE! That my dear is your passion. Think seriously about it and what it would take for you to move in that direction. It may or may not require college...but it may require some type of formal training or certification so do your research. Create a roadmap for yourself that will get you closer to this passion. Work without passion is work without purpose :) Good luck to you!
