San Diegan obsessed with studying the world and its people
Only some people were able to see the Ancient Egyptian sculptures & paintings because art wasn't necessarily meant to be seen and appreciated like how we do with art nowadays. Its function was mostly for the unique burial practices & rituals that the Egyptians are so famous for. Even though it may be aesthetically pleasing, its main purpose was to act as a conduit of a god or a divine spirit. The very limited number of people who were allowed to access these sculptures & paintings were royalty, priests, and even those of higher nobility. It was an art enjoyed by few at its creation but now is open to the modern world for all to appreciate.
Hopefully, that helped a little bit...let me know if I can help again!
