For 1, which organism is more similar to humans? Is a fish closer in anatomy/organ function to a human, or a mouse? Does that impact what things you can learn from the organism?
For 2: imagine I give you 2 puzzles. 1 is a 10 piece puzzle, the other is a 10,000 piece puzzle. Do you think you could put together the 10 piece puzzle without help from a friend or the picture on the box? What about the 10,000 piece puzzle? Its the same deal with folding proteins. The larger it is, the more complicated it is.
Or another example: 1 person can build a small product (e.g. a dresser), but to build a house you need more people to help, there's more regulatory people involved - and the reason is that the house is just more complicated than a dresser.
