The first statement is false. Vertical intercepts are points that pass through the vertical axis. A vertical line will not have distinct vertical intercepts because it will never pass through the vertical axis (it is parallel to it).
The second statement is true.
The third statement is false. Remember Absolute Value indicates the positive of what is inside the brackets.
| 4 - 6 | = | -2 | = 2
| 2 - 1 | = | 1 | = 1
2 is not less than 1, so this statement is false.
