You measured a CFU of 1176 for the diluted sample. So the original has 1176 x 10^6 CFU per 5g.
Your answer 2352 x 10^8 is correct.

asked 01/12/21Hi!
I took a sample of 5 grams of ground beef and diluted it to the factor 10^-6 with sterilized water. Afterward I took 1 ml of the the sample and used pour plate method to calculate amount of CFU. It was 1176.
I calculated amount of cfu/gram to 2,352 * 10^8 cfu/g
Is it correct?
