Many of the Federalist ideas are implanted in modern American society thanks to the efforts of those who pushed for the ratification of the Constitution. Federalists believed that the original Articles of Confederation (which supported the state's power more than a centralized body of government) wasn't effective as the proposed Constitution (which favored giving more power to a centralized government), which was ratified in 1791 after Federalists added the Bill of Rights in order to preserve individual liberties & compromise with those who opposed the Constitution. With the ratification of the Constitution, many Federalist ideas made their way into it, so their beliefs are still heavily present in today's American society.
