Well if c is the number of cars and v the number of vans
4c + 5v = 224 (1)
c + v = 48 (2)
4c +4v = 192 (3) = 4(2)
v = 224 - 192 = 32 (1) - (3)

Check 4 x 16 + 5 x 32 = 64 + 160 = 224
