the distance of the whole bridge like from arch to the end is 3770, and the height is 440ft why do we need the width? with this info we basically have the zeros and the vertex right? I can't seem to figure out the value of the a

We're talking about 3d. With only 2; all we're doing is looking at a picture. You want hwl=volume. You would then subtract the open space.
