Hi Lala L. Do you mean a film camera or a Polaroid camera? A film camera takes 35mm negatives to be printed, or positive slides to be shown through a projector. A polaroid takes images that are immediately developed within the camera system.
I have shot a lot of both and - I have to say - they both will be very expensive to learn on. To become a really good photographer you have to take a lot of photos and using a digital camera is the cheapest and easiest way to do that. You also see instantly if a photo has worked or not.
A roll of film with 36 exposures on it will cost you about US$12. Then you need to print the good images. A digital camera will let you take thousands of pictures.
Best bet is to hop online and check out what is available in your price range. Then once you know a bit more about what you like or want we can look at the options.
