I think it is easier to find the total momentum first,

as the momenta simly add.

1.98kg(2.01i - 3.05j)m/s + 3.01kg(0.94i + 5.93j)m/s = (6.8i + 11.81j)kgm/s

(a)

The velocity of the center of mass is its momentum divided by its mass

(6.8i + 11.81j)kgm/s / (1.98 + 3.01)kg = (1.36i + 2.37j)m/s
