The part of speech which gives us tense is the verb.... enabling us to travel to the past, the present and the future. Events can occur now, later or in the past, thus giving us the ability to tell stories which span all time!

Tense is shown through verbs. For instance:
Past - bought
Present - buy
Future - will buy
It's all verbs, all the time!
Verbs convey the timing and tense of an action.
Verbs show tense. For example: "I tried pecan pie" becomes "I try pecan pie" in the present tense. When an action takes place is shown in the verb itself.
