Th e formula for the volume of a cylinder is V = πr 2 h, where r is the radius of the circular base and h is the height of the cylinder.

a. Solve the formula for h.


b. Use the new formula to find the height of the cylinder.

If you give me the volume and radius of the cone then I can solve for the height. You may now also do this with the formula for the height of a cylinder. I am using / for divided by. The information preceding the / is the numerator and the information after the / is the denominator. 2 x 3 = 6 (2 x 3) / 3 = 6 / 3 (2 x 3) / 3 = 6 / 3 2 = 2
