As an Engineer and Professor, I have used Physics in many applications
- Acceleration of Gravity decreases with altitude, because the distance from the center of Earth's mass increases.
- In projectile type motions, the horizontal (x-) velocity does not change, the acceleration and force are zero. Gravity only acts along the vertical (y-) components!
- Any upward velocity decreases, until the highest point is reached (vy = 0), after which the velocity increases downward. Acceleration (of Gravity) and Force (Weight of the object) are constant.
