The question is a bit ambiguous, but I think the most reasonable answer would be E. It doesn't really matter how "rapid" the evolution would be occurring: 6000 years just isn't enough time to develop the history and variety of life on earth that we currently have even if there was an "important" mutation every generation for every living thing.
