In the virtual right triangle formed by the string, ground and the vertical height of the kite:
The string represents the hypotenuse, the ground is the base and height of the kite is the perpendicular.
Since the angle and the hypotenuse are known, and the height is required, apply the ratio sinθ°= height/hypotenuse i.e. sin 68° x 50m = height
Use your calculator to complete and determine the final answer.
