Question

A gardener became famous when he accidentally bred a new type of purple orchid. Upon further investigation, scientists found that the color of the orchid came from one gene and that the purple color was due to incomplete dominance. Orchids with the dominant homozygous mix RR were red, with the recessive homozygous rr were blue, and heterozygous individuals Rr were purple. These orchids also carry a gene to determine whether a flower is large (LL), medium (Ll) or small (ll).
