Marx predicted that the inequalities of capitalism would lead to a class revolution. He asserted that capitalism creates two classes: the bourgeoisie, those who own the corporations, and the proletariat, those who work in the corporations. This means that inequalities between the upper and lower classes are needed for capitalism to function. As such, this lingering exploitation would lead to a revolution by the proletariat to overthrow the bourgeoisie and end capitalism.
