asked 06/26/20Break from Spanish Class
Is it possible to take a break from Spanish class and restart later in the year?

It is not advisable to pause language learning, especially in a academic setting as it is easy to forget/lose the language skills acquired. However, if a break is necessary, intensive tutoring can help to get one back on track without the necessity of repeating a course. Hope this helps!

It is never a good idea when learning a foreign language to take a break because you need the consistency of the language to improve. Perhaps you need a new style of learning and more conversation in another type of setting. I am ready, willing and able to make Spanish more fun! Check our my profile....I am new to wyzant, but extremely excited to help those who would like help.

It is possible but not recommended. Any amount of time away from a language will cause some loss, however small mini lessons can help you retain the information you have already learned without learning anything new. If you are interested in refresher lessons you can message me.

For every two months away from the language, you loose about 30% of what you learned. I would highly recommend sticking to the class. If you want a complimentary, meet and greet lesson, you need to register with WyZant and I can explain further. Spanish has gotten me great jobs over other candidates, so don’t give up!
