The male endocrine system also produces estrogen in the form of estradiol. It is used to produce healthy sperm, stimulate breast tissue growth, maintain erectile function, maintain bone health, regulate fat mass, maintain brain health, and metabolize lipids and skin.
The cool thing is that the body actually produces estradiol by breaking down testosterone so estrogen levels can actually mirror testosterone levels! If estrogen levels are too high, all of those functions regulated by estrogen can be affected.
