Knowledge, experience and insight from decades of teaching physics.
Driving down the highway you see a truck that has a mass of 3250 kg. If you are told the force of friction is 1500 N, what is the coefficient of friction? What is the acceleration of the truck?
Assuming that the highway is horizontal, normal reaction = weight = mg = 3250 x 9.81 N
Since Force of friction = coefficient of friction x normal reaction,
coefficient of friction = 1500 ÷ 3250 • 9.81
I'll let you calculate the value.
Acceleration cannot be calculated from the information provided.
