No you defined allopatric speciation to a T but not sympatric speciation. In sympatric speciation the geographical barrier do not take place. For example monocle cobra (Naja kaouthia) and indian cobra (Naja naja) both are found in the same range of indo bangladesh border, but they are two distinct species, this is an example of sympatric speciation, on the other hand african lion and indian lion are separated by oceans and that is allopatric speciation
