Help with word problem please??!

Question

Two trains leave the station at the same time, one heading east and the other west. The eastbound train travels at 85 miles per hour. The westbound train travels at 105 miles per hour. How long will it take for the two trains to be 266 miles apart? Do not do any rounding.

distance=rate*time

d=r*t

266=85t+105t (they both travel for the same amount of time)

266=190t

t=266/190

t=1.4 hours, or 1 hour 24 minutes
