Question

in these numbers  9, 13,29, 17,14,11,9,12,9,12,19 would the mode be a good representation of points scored? I said no if i am wrong please explain.

Mode(9, 13,29, 17,14,11,9,12,9,12,19) = 9,   9, 9, 9, 11, 12, 12, 13, 14, 17,19, 29,

which is the smallest number so yes, I'd say it not a good representation too.

You are right.  The mode is 9 because that's the number that shows up the most times.

 

But it's less than every other number, so it reflects a much lower number than a typical number of points.
