It depends on how you measure success. There were a handful of small states established in and around the eastern Mediterranean as a result of the early Crusades, including in Jerusalem, but they were all very short-lived. By most measures of success, the Crusaders' attempts to conquer territory in and around Jerusalem and hold it for any substantial length of time were abject failures.
