If the first spinner lands on A, the second spinner could land on 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 (6 possibilities)

If the first spinner lands on B, the second spinner could land on 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 (6 possibilities)

etc, etc

So, since there are 5 different letter possibilities, the number of total possibilities is 5 x 6 = 30
