Both of these verbs are reflexive verbs, which means that they need the reflexive pronoun in front of the conjugated verb. Because these are both in the present tense, we need to make sure we have the correct endings for the verbs.
First, look at the endings. They are both -er/-ir verbs, which means that we just need to change the ending to
-emos/-imos because we are speaking in nosotros (we). HOWEVER, remember that entender, or entenderse is a stem changer, but luckily, it actually stays regular in the nosotros form.
Yo me entiendo (see how the word changes?)
Tu te entiendes
Ella se entiende
Nosotros nos entendemos (it goes back to normal)
Ustedes se entienden
Mi familia y yo nos entendemos bien.
Now, looking at the verb despedirse, we see that the ending is -ir, so we need to keep that in mind for conjugating. This is also a stem changer, so lets check it out:
Yo me despido (see how despedirse changes out the e for an i)
Tu te despides
Ella/el se despide
Nosotros nos despedimos (once again, becomes regular in the nosotros form)
Ustedes se despiden
Mi novio y yo nos despedimos rápidamente en la mañana.
