The 4 triangles on the edge of the octagon are 45 degree right triangles.
I got tired of building octagons, and had to get back to my remote learning classroom, so I hired a guy named Bill to build the next octagon. This octagon has a perimeter of 32 meters. To add some character, Bill picks a vertex of the octagon and draws two line segments through the interior of the octagon. His line segments divide the octagon into three quadrilaterals. What does the shape look like?
Also, what are the areas of the three quadrilaterals?
