I was just wondering if it is applicable to write the domain of the parabola y=x^2 can be:

-∞<x<∞

yes if X= negative then (-X)^2 becomes positive therefore X can take all Real numbers

You could also do it with interval notation, with parentheses (-infinity, infinity)

or you could just say the domain is all real numbers
