converting units of measurements

Your friend needs your help! This friend was prescribed a medication, in pill form at 20 milligram (mg), tobe taken once per day. The pharmacy carried the medication only in solution form at 40 milligrams permilliliter (mg/ml). Answer the following questions showing your calculations:a.How many milliliters does he/she need to take every day

40 milligrams/ml = 20 mg per 1/2 ml. Your friend would take 1/2 ml per day.


Formally:


20 mg/day / 40 mg/ml = 0.5 mg/day


It's difficult to format this answer to show the units cancelling out, but the units become mg/day.

You have a consistent typo that might confuse some people. You must have meant to write "20 mg/day / 40 mg/ml = 0.5 ml/day It's difficult to format this answer to show the units cancelling out, but the units become ml/day." As you indicated at the beginning of your answer, the final units should be ml, not mg, per day.
