200% increase would be from 17 to 17+2(17)=51

17 to 17+x(17)=55 is an x % increase solve for x

17(1+x)=55

1+x+55/17

x=55/17 -1

200% increase is from 17 to 51

55 is 4 more, or 4/17 more percentage wise
