Are Endymion and Hyperion by John Keats intended to be related pieces?

Hyperion and Endymion are poems by the famous poet John Keats, both based on Greek mythology.Hyperion talks about the Titan's despairing after their defeat by the Olympians, and was written in 1818-1819. Endymion is based on the myth of Endymion, where the moon goddess Selene falls in love with him, a king and son of Zeus.Are these poems supposed to be related to each other? They both cover Greek mythology, which prompted my question.

As you rightly note, both Endymion and Hyperion are based on Greek mythology. In that respect, they are certainly related, and there are arguments to be made about their relationship on the basis of that. They are separate projects, however. Hyperion has two versions, showing Keats was probably intending to expand it further. The stories are also rather different. Endymion focuses on a forbidden/doomed love whereas Hyperion engages rather more with epic themes.
