Depending on the extent of your text, the grade level you are in and the extent of research you are required to do (not sure if this is related to a quiz question, an essay question, a paper, etc), you will find that most sources will cite the reasons for the 7 Years War (French Indian War) to be related to both France and England wanting to expand colonization and trade into the Ohio River Valley, the English colonies' need and desire for westward expansion and resentment by Native Americans (primarily allies of the French at this time) for English occupation of their lands. The primary cause is competing desire for the Ohio River Valley by France and England.
Aside from whatever text has been assigned by your teacher, there are numerous legitimate online sources that you may readily research and cite for more detail on this subject.
