This is a division question.

It basically is asking how many 1/3 pieces are there in 7/9?

So you have to 7/9 divided by 1/3

7/9 divided by 1/3

Remember that dividing by a fraction is the same as multiplying by the reciprocal.

So we change division to multiplication. And flip 1/3 to 3/1

7/9 * 3/1

Now multiply the numerators.

Multiply the denominators

And you answer will be 21/9
