To find the slope of all 4 functions simply find the derivative of each one:
- g(x) = 2x+8 → g'(x) = 2; therefore the slope is 2.
- f(x) = 1/6x-3 → f'(x) = 1/6; therefore the slope is 1/6.
- f(x) = 2 → f'(x) = 0; since this is a flat line that starts at y=2 with zero incline. Plus the derivative of all constants is always zero.
- f(x) = 1 → f'(x) = 0; the same explanation applies here as above on (3).
